Atlan Weapons are Supreme Melee Weapons only if u have Item Magic (which you should)

Gettting Motes:
Motes are dropped as loot by Golems.
Only Golems spawn motes, and the drop rate is beteween 1 in 20 and 1 in 100
Some days, it is 1 in 10, others, I kill 100s without finding one -- literally.
My advice is -- when the motes are flowing, hunt them vigorously.
And, when the motes are not flowing, you may choose to hunt something other than golems.

You can always buy/trade for motes as well. For my first Atlan, I looted one mote from a golem, and bought the other 15. Some people will scoff at you for trying to buy motes... but - I did it.... through overpaying for them. I went and made a ton of cash, and paid 30-40k a mote. People couldn't resist. The Process:
Your need the following to get your Atlan weapon:
NOTE: --> If you DO NOT wait until your weapon skill is high enough, you may get an inferior weapon. Do yourself a favor, and WAIT!
After you get it:
Congrats! You have completed a wonderful quest!
No matter what, do NOT put a Minor Stone in your weapon -- they suck, and you cannot remove the Stone without the Stone Tool, which is hard to get.
Drop me a /tell in game when you think you are ready for the Major stones. We have been successful in working through the Vaults. Recommended level is 30+, with expected deaths.

After you have your Atlan:
Some people choose to make Mote hunting a lifelong quest, getting enough for five weapons. One naked, Four elemental. The collection of 80 motes may seem impossible to the new quester, but as you play, you'll realize that motes are more common than you think, and that collecting 80 of them is a small price to pay when faced with breaking the Major Acid Stone (guarded by 16 Olthoi Soldiers).
